Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) is an 8-week, evidence-based, experiential program providing in-depth training in mindfulness meditation and movement practices. The program also helps participants integrate mindfulness into their daily lives. Created by Jon Kabat-Zinn in 1979, MBSR is based on ancient contemplative practices integrated with western medical approaches. This program harnesses our inner resources and has been demonstrated to enhance emotional resilience.
Fall 2024: Thursday Evenings
Orientation: September 5, 6 – 7 p.m. Central
First Class: September 12, 6 – 9 p.m. Central
Classes 2 and 3: September 19 and September 26, 6 – 8:30 p.m. Central
Skip October 3 in observance of Rosh Hashana
Classes 4-7: October 10, October 17, October 24, October 31, 6 – 8:30 p.m. Central
Retreat: Saturday, October 26, 9:30 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Last Class: November 7, 6 – 9 p.m.
