The Mindfulness Network is committed to safe practice and we have a Safeguarding Policy that sets out our duty of care to everyone who comes in to contact with the organisation. You can read about the policy here https://home.mindfulness-network.org/our-policies/ Please read these safety guidelines before submitting your application for this event.

Mindfulness practice can be very supportive to wellbeing, however as practice often involves coming up close to our internal experience this can be challenging, particularly during periods of stress and/or distress.

If you are currently under the care of a mental health professional, please discuss your attendance with them. If there is any uncertainty about whether this is a good time for you to attend we recommend that you pause your registration for now and sign up at a later date so that you can have the most supportive and beneficial experience. MNCF practice sessions are not intended to replace mental health, therapy or physical health care provided by medical professionals including midwives and health visitors.

It is important to us to be able to fully welcome everyone. If you have any specific needs relating to disability or health conditions, including difficulties with hearing, please contact us before the event so that we can discuss ways that we can support you during the event: communityfriends@mindfulness-network.org

Bio

The Mindfulness Network is a registered charity. We serve the mindfulness community and general public through supervision, retreats and training courses delivered both in-person and via our online platform - the Mindfulness Network Community site. The Mindfulness Network Community Friends (MNCF) is an initiative to engage the wider mindfulness community and reach new audiences through donation-based events and opportunities to practice. Led by a Committee of Volunteers, supported by the Mindfulness Network, we work together to run a programme of events and inspiring content. By developing mindfulness and compassion both internally and through our services, the Mindfulness Network has the intention to reduce/alleviate human suffering, promote well-being and create the conditions in which people, communities and the planet, can flourish. We aim to bring together highly-trained mindfulness-based supervisors, retreat leaders and teacher trainers who all work within Good Practice Standards set out by the British Association of Mindfulness-Based Approaches (BAMBA).
