Janet Curry, MA, MSt, is in private practice as a Licensed Professional Counselor and Certified Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) teacher and Teacher Trainer. She recently received her Master's in Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) from the University of Oxford. Janet has taught MBSR & MBCT in the Four Corners region for nearly 15 years, including at the Durango Cancer Center and in Telluride, CO. She offers presentations and workshops on mindfulness for cultivating well-being and emotional resiliency, as well as Trauma-Sensitive Mindfulness trainings, to hospitals, cancer support organizations, and conferences nationally, and internationally.

Janet's passion for mindfulness has grown from her own experience of its benefits; she began her first MBSR course while struggling to cope with the stress of raising young children, starting graduate school, and addressing residues of her own childhood trauma. Mindfulness has taught her the how of weaving kindness, compassion, connection and self-care into the very fabric of daily living. Her gratitude for the transformative benefits of mindfulness fuels her commitment to offering these practices to others.
