Since 1989 I have worked in health care and have over 33 years experience of direct client care. Within this period I have been employed in a variety of roles. Those include, acute medical care, acute mental health (in patients), primary care mental health, secondary care mental health, crisis interventions & IAPT. Currently, I am an independent practitioner, offering a wide range of treatments, mindfulness being one of those. I have a unique and flexible approach to mindfulness, but, of course closely following best practice guidelines. Added to my mindfulness training, I am trained firstly as an Occupational Therapist, then as CBT Practitioner, (which I am accredited). I have a CBT supervision qualification and again I am accredited. I am a qualified mindfulness-based supervisor trained with two organisations- The Mindfulness Network and The mindfulness Association. Added to this, I have trained in DBT. Lastly, I am an accredited EMDR practitioner, and I work with all age ranges and conditions. Personally, I am father of two adults daughters, I enjoy walking, reading, spending time with family and friends. I have first hand experience of depression and anxiety. Currently, I identify as Queer, I am a Gay, cis-gendered male and my pronouns are he/his/him. Best wishes, Rob.
