Robyn L. Gobin, Ph.D. is a licensed clinical psychologist, tenured professor, and mindful self-

compassion teacher who is passionate about helping individuals and marginalized communities

care for themselves—mind, body, and spirit. Robyn has authored books on self-care that

incorporate mindful self-compassion as a sustainable way to enhance overall well-being. Robyn

enjoys teaching mindfulness and self-compassion because she believes they empower individuals

to intentionally create fulfilling lives and nurturing relationships with themselves and others.



Robyn is a Qualified Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) Teacher and has received

extensive training and experience teaching mindfulness and self-compassion courses in a trauma

and culturally sensitive manner through the UC San Diego Mindfulness Based Professional

Training Institute and the Center for Mindful Self-Compassion. She is also a trained Mindfulness-Based Eating Awareness Teacher. Robyn has taught mindfulness and self-compassion in community, correctional, university, and healthcare settings. In addition to teaching group-based mindfulness and self-compassion in person and online, Robyn regularly incorporates mindful self-compassion in her therapy Robyn L.
